TWO MOTHERS.
My children___sleeping content
well feed, warm, dreaming of holidays,
chocolate, ponies with ourple hair,
full of fun, running free,__
just as children should
Her children __walking and walking,
brown bellies swollen,
desperately seeking food, hope,
humanity, finding only gnawing hunger,
and despair.
Twelve hours away,
we are separated by half a day,
and by the grace of God she, not I,
was born in Africa.
Would she, in my place, shed a tear
and turn away,
thanking God it wasn'y her?
Or would she pray for me, and give up
some needless luxury to buy me
some time and the life of even
ONE LITTLE CHILD.
MAKES YOU THINK DOES'NT IT.

Sad to say, but this is the world we live in, and there is not an awful lot we can do about it.
agree with FaerieQueen.
Unfortuntely the World is not a fair place. But we have to make the most of our little nick of the woods.
It's good to be reminded now and then. We get so caught up in our own lives, we forget about others doing it so much tougher.
I believe if we each do a bit whenever we can, wherever we can, the world will be a better place for someone, if even only for a moment.
