A LESSON FROM PANCAKES.

A mum was preparing pancakes
for her sons Kevin, five, and
Ryan, three, The boys began to
argue over who would get the
first pancake. The mum saw the
opportunity for a moral lesson.

"If Jesus was sitting here, he
would say. Let my brother have
the first pancake, I can wait"

Kevin turned to his brother and
said "Ryan you can be Jesus!"

Ah! I used to like telling the story of the two baby monkeys and mother monkey. Given a banana, their mother broke it in half for them but one said - mine is the smallest half - he has more than me.. Mother monkey bit a piece off the largest 'half' and gave it to the other monkey, saying, "there you are, now your brother has the same." But the monkey who had had a piece bitten off his half was upset and complained that now his was less than his brother's. Mother monkey bit a piece off the first monkey's banana half and handed it back. This went on until neither monkey had any banana because their mother had continued to level up the two halves, due to the babies arguing instead of enjoying what had been given to them! So intent on worrying about a sibling getting more than them - both lost out - whilst mum had a full tum and had taught a valuable lesson in life! Enjoy what you have! It is foolish to be greedy or worry about someone having more of anything........
