This is very true. And 'little sister' it means, being downhearted causes that person to look inwards all the time and be fed up! If we look inwards, we fail to have a genuinely big heart for others as well as ourselves, eventually. Downhearted and depression are not the same, but can have the same effect.
In other words, if you catch yourself being glum, try smiling and cheering others. :) xxx
